Believe it or not but wine is seen as a form of raw food. It’s fermented and has not been boiled. Good news no? Not completely, lol :). To maximize the effect of your raw-vegan food diet, you should actually SPARE your liver.
This organ is having a tough life right? Studies showed the health benefits of drinking 1 glass of red wine a day, great news for people who love their moment of boozy relaxation. Though drinking more than that, will cause numerous problems. I’m naming;
A dehydrated body, aging quickly, weight gain, liver failure, fatigue,- you’ll get the picture 🙂
Personally I am not a fan of drinking daily because I just can’t get up in the morning as FRESH as I normally do, feeling unmotivated to workout AND I am less productive. Which I hate because I feel SO much better physically and mentally about myself when I do these things.
Anyway, I like the occasional glass of wine when I am eating out and always search for an (organic vegan) wine on the menu. To make it more specific, I like my wine without sulfite. Sulfite is a form of preservative which will give you headache the next morning. Somehow sulfite-free organic AND vegan wine is still rarely seen on a wine menu. Tips anyone?
However, if you’re anything like me; I do have my excesses. Unless you’re pregnant, a top ultra athlete, detoxing, having an alcohol-free month or dislike alcohol whatsoever, nothing beats a good old night out with your best friends and eat, dance & drink champagne:). – But I do like to pick my parties so I still balance between a more healthy lifestyle and the occasional feast.
Hangover? Tips to recover from last night’s bachelor party:
First thing in the morning is to drink a Pineapple Paradiso 04 to hydrate my body thanks to the cucumber & pineapple OR I take a Tour de Detox 12 with beets & carrots which will totally detoxify my liver!
