The best way to get vitamins and enzymes is to drink a glass of green juice. At Superfoodguru we put a lot of vegetables in a bottle of 330 ml. Imagine having to eat a plate with a mountain of vegetables, …- kind of time consuming :).
So here it is, 3 reasons WHY I Detox;
1.] Quick & Easy nutrients. This is one of the reasons why I started SuperfoodGuru in the first place. It is just so quick & easy to drink a juice, instead of eating TONS of raw greens. For me, juices and smoothies are really meals in a glass because they quickly meet my need for food and nutrients. When I come home late or need a boost when I’m working, I always take a green juice.
Now, drinking a glass of cold pressed juice in a day is a totally different challenge than following a Juice Detox for 3, 5 or even 7 days. I actually started with a 7 day detox a couple of years ago when I came back from Bali and it was a HUGE turnaround for me. I never had done a detox in my life and, inspired by Bali’s yoga-healthy culture, I went FULL BLAST with no experience on a 7 day detox, I can tell you it was TOUGH, lol 🙂
But does the body need to detox, you may ask? No & Yes. The body provides natural detoxification every day. HOWEVER, this natural detoxification can often use some help depending on what you eat, how you live and how your body functions.
Let’s break it down, ok:
2.] Get rid of toxins. The intestinal system is the drainage channel of the body. If the drain is “clogged”, delicate substances are stored in the intestinal wall where they form UNHEALTHY bacteria. The blood vessels in the intestinal wall take up toxins in the circulation, which means that the body functions do not perform as well. After a while, the toxins get STUCK in the body and they settle in the organs.
They cause all kinds of problems guys, naming; fatigue, digestive problems, weight gain and various problems with the skin, hair and general health. No fun, right? SO. Does this mean you have to detox every single day of your life?
3.] As part of a healthy lifestyle. No, for me it is as part of a healthy lifestyle, detoxification is a great way to thoroughly cleanse my body. By switching to a raw diet, eating clean and giving your body a break, you give the sign to your body to remove toxins; therefore, people who start eating raw food easilylose weight. The toxins in the fat cells LITERALLY dissolve. Bye, bye belly fat!
